TV-Series
Description
Chirico Cuvie served as a soldier for the Gilgamesh Confederation's Melkian military. His defining conflict began with a mission to retrieve a mysterious capsule containing a woman bathed in blue light. This event resulted in betrayal by his comrades and relentless pursuit by his own forces, igniting his personal quest to uncover the truth behind the capsule and the woman, Fyana.
Before this, Chirico was part of the elite Red Shoulder Battalion under Colonel Yoran Pailsen. There, his exceptional survival abilities emerged. He endured brutal training and high-casualty operations, including an amphibious assault on the Taibas River where he was the sole survivor among 1,500 armored units. Transferred to an experimental squad with other high-survivors like Garry Godan and Nol Berkhoff, he faced near-impossible missions testing his resilience, earning him the reputation of an "abnormal survivor."
Chirico embodies the "ultimate survivor," possessing rapid regeneration from injuries, resistance to toxins and radiation, and a subconscious ability to manipulate environmental factors or probability for survival. He recovered from fractured bones within days, survived explosions destroying his armored troopers, and endured extreme environments like desert planets with minimal resources. His combat skills are exceptional, particularly piloting armored troopers like the ATM-09 Scopedog, though he frequently abandons or replaces damaged units. He is also highly proficient with firearms, notably the M571 Bauhauser Armor Magnum.
Initially emotionally detached and stoic due to wartime trauma and a childhood as a soldier, Chirico evolved through interactions with companions like Gotho, Vanilla, and Cocona, fostering loyalty and camaraderie. His relationship with Fyana, a Perfect Soldier, became central, driving him to protect her across numerous conflicts against military forces and secret societies, challenging his solitary nature.
His role expanded when he confronted Wiseman, a sentient supercomputer posing as a deity controlling the Astragius Galaxy. Identified as a potential successor due to his unique physiology, Chirico rejected this destiny and destroyed Wiseman, liberating humanity but creating a power vacuum, reflecting his defiance against predetermined roles.
After Wiseman's destruction, Chirico entered cryogenic sleep with Fyana, hoping to awaken in peace. Later continuations show his return to a galaxy still in conflict, facing Fyana's loss and grappling with potential immortality. His existence became defined by isolation as he outlived companions, enduring as a wanderer. Stories set further in his future, like "Phantom Chapter," depict him navigating battles and conspiracies, often alone, reinforcing themes of perpetual struggle.
Physically, Chirico is recognized by his blue hair, green-tinted eyes, and iconic orange pilot suit. His combat prowess extends beyond mecha to exceptional marksmanship, tactical ingenuity, and survival skills across diverse environments.
