Description
Fujihime stands as the sole remaining descendant of the Star Clan (星の一族), a lineage charged with aiding the Priestess of the Dragon God. As the young daughter of Kyou's imperial court Minister of the Left, her noble status is inherent; the honorific "hime" explicitly marks her as the child of high rank and influence, dictating her consistently formal speech.
She becomes Akane Motomiya's first encounter upon arriving in Kyou, greeting her at the Star Clan mansion. Despite being only ten years old, Fujihime exhibits wisdom far exceeding her age. She instantly identifies Akane as the Ryūjin no Miko and takes up the duty of guiding her, outlining her role against the Oni Clan. Yet, she voices frustration that her youth restricts her capacity to offer the Priestess more substantial support.
During the Maihitoyo storyline, Fujihime succumbs to severe illness alongside other nobles. This affliction stems from the overwhelming spiritual corruption and curses plaguing Kyou's spiritual heart, the Imperial Palace. Her incapacitation forces Akane to undertake the critical mission to purify the palace alone, as Fujihime is unable to fulfill her supportive role for the Priestess in this crisis.
