Description
Unico, a mythical unicorn rooted in Greek mythology, is a small, gender-neutral being with white fur, a pink mane, and cinnamon bun-shaped ears. Endowed with the power to spread joy, their presence inadvertently incites Venus’s envy, prompting the goddess to command the West Wind to exile them to the Hill of Oblivion. Defying orders, the West Wind spirals Unico through time and space to evade Venus’s wrath, though each displacement strips their memories, leaving them to forge fresh bonds in every new realm.

Their odyssey intertwines with figures like Chiko, a girl afflicted by pollution from a factory, whom Unico aids, revealing their dedication to environmental justice. Confronting Beezle, a lonely demon, Unico’s compassion transforms hostility into friendship, culminating in Beezle sacrificing a magical horn to resurrect them after a fatal clash. Later, they encounter Chao, a cat yearning for humanity, whose selfish desires shift to altruism through Unico’s influence. Unico’s transformative magic—such as granting Chao temporary human form—activates only through mutual affection, mirroring the reciprocity of their abilities.

In another trial, Unico allies with Cheri, a girl whose family is ensnared by an antagonist turning humans into puppets. Facing Kuruku, a vengeful puppet, Unico discerns their solitude, resolving the conflict through empathy rather than force. When bolstered by others’ sincere love, Unico ascends into a winged unicorn, unleashing immense power—like vanquishing a colossal demon—though this form emerges only during dire emotional trials. Collaborations with allies such as the Sphinx’s daughter and Astro Boy further showcase their role in ecological battles, including time-travel missions to avert environmental collapse.

Trapped in an endless cycle of connection, adversity, and departure, Unico’s erased memories underscore themes of transience and endurance. Yet their unwavering selflessness persists, cementing their legacy as a beacon of hope across mythic and mortal worlds.
