Description
Suikakujū operates as a high-ranking demon champion under Genyo, queen of the Makai. His core mission is to thwart the prophesied emergence of the Chōjin (Overfiend), which he perceives as a malevolent force destined to annihilate the human, demon, and man-beast worlds instead of uniting them.

Disguised in human form, he traveled to Tokyo in 1923 with his concubine Fukakuki. There, he summoned the sea demon Maō, triggering the Great Kantō earthquake. During this event, Amano Jyaku inflicted severe injuries on him, costing him his right leg and half his face. Centuries later, upon learning the Chōjin had manifested in the human boy Tatsuo Nagumo, Suikakujū re-entered the human world. Fearing Amano Jyaku's interference, he manipulated the resentful student Yūichi Niki into becoming a weapon against Nagumo.

After a battle with Amano Jyaku destroyed his body, Suikakujū's essence endured in one of his horns, retrieved by Fukakuki. She and fellow concubine Enkakuki resurrected him by implanting the horn into Niki's corpse and summoning demonic spirits. Severely weakened, he absorbed Fukakuki and Enkakuki's life forces to regain strength, killing both concubines.

During the merging of the three worlds, Suikakujū again summoned Maō to halt the Chōjin. Nagumo, now transformed into the Demon of Destruction, killed Maō and unleashed a beam that devastated Osaka. Impaled on debris, Suikakujū urged Amano Jyaku with his dying breath to kill the Chōjin and prevent total annihilation. Decades later, his sister Yoenki was manipulated by the antagonist Münchhausen II into believing Amano Jyaku murdered Suikakujū in cold blood, driving her to seek vengeance.

In the 2002 remake *New Urotsukidōji: New Saga*, Suikakujū's role expanded. Under Genyo's orders to kill Amano Jyaku and prevent his protection of the suspected Chōjin Norikazu Ozaki, he encountered Seigenki, Genyo's daughter. When she questioned her mother's motives, he raped her, claiming Genyo authorized the act.

The manga portrays him differently, omitting the three-world mythology. Here, he leads reptilian demons for the Demon Queen and acts as a rival to the Great Elder, devoid of noble motivations. His actions lack the anime's apocalyptic stakes, framing him as a straightforward antagonist.
