Richard Guyot began as a high-ranking Chronos Corporation human with access to classified history and Zoanoid secrets. Discovering the existence of G-Units (Guyver Units) and their potential to grant god-like power beyond the Creators' control prior to his Zoalord processing, he orchestrated the elimination of scientists researching Guyvers to conceal his ambitions. Professor Shinichiro Yamamura survived and later attempted to assassinate him. During Guyot's Zoalord transformation in Arizona, Yamamura's rebellion using prototype Zoalords endangered his life. Intervention by the Council of Twelve ensured his survival and ascension to their ranks. Assuming command of Chronos Japan after stripping Genzō Makishima of his position, Guyot utilized Makishima's adoptive son Agito as an aide. He relentlessly pursued stolen Guyver Units, deploying specialized Zoanoids like Enzyme and Hyper Zoanoid Team Five to capture hosts such as Sho Fukamachi (Guyver I). His abilities centered on gravity manipulation: firing Gravity Bullets from his knuckles and generating larger Gravity Blasts capable of leveling city blocks. His ultimate technique created pseudo-black holes, escalating into planet-consuming singularities if uncontrolled. He also employed an Electromagnetic Barrier for defense, possessed flight, superhuman strength, and durability—surviving point-blank Mega Smasher attacks. Following repeated failures to secure a Guyver, Guyot acquired the Unit Remover, a Creator device designed to deactivate Guyver armor. This culminated in a confrontation at Relic's Point where he used the Remover in a failed attempt to disarm Agito Makishima (Guyver III). His treachery attracted supreme Zoalord Archanfel (Alkanphel). In desperation, Guyot unleashed a black hole that consumed Archanfel, but lost control, requiring Hamilcar Barcas's intervention to prevent planetary catastrophe. Severely weakened, Guyot confronted rebels in Relic's Point's sub-levels. He briefly captured Masaki Murakami (his surviving prototype Zoalord) as a hostage before Archanfel reappeared, tore out his Zoacrystal, and Guyver III blasted him into Mount Minakami's erupting crater. Guyot survived this apparent demise, resurfacing months after Chronos's global takeover (X-Day). Bandaged and disheveled, he allied with rogue Zoalords Luggnagg de Krumeggnic and Jabir Ibn Hayyan. They reprocessed him with a synthetic Zoacrystal, reversing the dynamic with Murakami (who became a true Zoalord). His first mission involved recruiting the female Guyver, Valkyria, for their faction. Non-manga adaptations differed: the OVA depicted him as Chronos Japan's commander without showcasing his Zoalord form or ambitions, surviving the Chronos building collapse. The live-action film *Guyver 2: Dark Hero* renamed him "Gouo," omitted confirmation of his Zoalord status, and reduced his role to issuing orders.
