Frank Ciazynski was a German actor and voice actor, born on October 2, 1943, and passing away in June 2024. His career in performance began in the former East Germany, where he appeared in numerous productions for DEFA, the state-owned film studio, including television series and crime dramas. He continued his on-screen acting work after the reunification of Germany in the 1990s.

From around 1990, Ciazynski focused increasingly on voice acting, becoming a prolific presence in German dubbing. Over his decades-long career, he lent his voice to thousands of roles in films, television series, and animated projects. In addition to his work in animation, he was the German voice for many character actors in live-action productions, including actors such as Richard Riehle, Jay Brazeau, and Kurt Ravn.

He became a familiar voice to fans of anime and animation in Germany. He was the German voice for the character Arktos in the popular German animated franchise Tabaluga. He also provided voices for the series SpongeBob SquarePants.

Ciazynski was particularly well-known within the German anime community for his work in the long-running series Detective Conan. He took over the voice role of the beloved character Professor Hiroshi Agasa starting in 2017. He voiced the professor in numerous films of the franchise, including Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire, Lupin III vs. Detective Conan The Movie, and Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet. He continued in this role for several films and specials, becoming the fourth German actor to voice the character.

His other notable anime voice roles included the character Direktor Osmond in the series The Familiar of Zero. His extensive voice work in anime also encompassed roles in productions such as Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor and the animated feature Wolf Children, confirming the wide range of titles to which he contributed.
