Bulbasaur, a Grass/Poison-type Pokémon discovered in the Hidden Village sanctuary for abandoned or injured Pokémon, shielded the village as its primary protector. It joined Ash Ketchum's team after Ash defended the village from Team Rocket, with village caretaker Melanie encouraging Bulbasaur to travel with Ash for its growth. Initially distrustful of trainers due to witnessing abandonment, Bulbasaur developed deep loyalty toward Ash.
Exhibiting a serious, responsible, and mature personality, Bulbasaur frequently acts as a peacekeeper. At Professor Oak's laboratory, where it was permanently placed to maintain order, it mediates conflicts, especially between Water-type and Grass-type Pokémon, earning recognition as an ambassador.
