Description
Kamome Sengakuji is a central character in the anime series, introduced as a transfer student who arrives in Akihabara from Osaka. She is a thirteen-year-old girl, born on November 11, 1997, making her a Scorpio with AB blood type. Kamome stands 155 centimeters tall and weighs 37 kilograms, with long blonde hair, blue eyes, and a characteristic pink headband she often wears. She is assigned to class 1-D at the Akihabara Junior High School. Her name, Kamome, means sea gull in Japanese, a nod to her coastal origins.

Kamome's background is marked by financial strain following the death of her biological father, after which she lived with her mother and stepfather in Osaka. This experience is the foundation of her most defining trait: an intense and calculating love for money. Her entire personality is driven by a desire for profit, and she is constantly seeking inventive ways to earn money, from selling ice cream to charging her classmates for personal information about herself. Her thinking is consistently described as precise and calculating, and she approaches most situations by first considering the potential financial gain or loss. This often manifests as a snobbish or blunt demeanor, especially when she encounters inefficiency or ignorance, though this exterior hides a more capable and ultimately loyal individual.

Kamome's role in the story becomes pivotal when she reveals a deep knowledge of the series' central secrets. Unlike initial characters, she is already aware of the existence of the Divas and the concept of the Anima Mundi, the pure souls chosen to wield them. This knowledge comes from her grandfather, Shimabukurou Sengakuji, a former member of the secret Rosenkreuz Society, with whom she reluctantly stays while in Akihabara. Her grandfather's perverted habits are a source of constant annoyance and embarrassment for her. Kamome transfers to Akihabara with a specific mission: to unlock the special power of her own Pata-Pi, a device named Billiken, which is designed as a futuristic piggy bank and counting machine, reflecting her obsession with currency. Her arrival and initial confrontations with the other girls, particularly a heated rivalry with Suzume partly over physical appearance, quickly integrate her into the core group.

Her key ability is her connection to her Diva, Amphitrite. In a moment of crisis, after declaring herself an Anima Mundi, her Pata-Pi Billiken transforms into this powerful water-element Diva for the first time, capable of wielding a laser cannon that can convert into a chainsaw. This event marks her official induction as the fourth member of the team, and she proves to be a crucial asset due to her prior knowledge of the enemy organization and their tactics. Over the course of the series, her development sees her move from being a solely profit-driven loner to a more cooperative member of the team, demonstrating genuine care for her companions even as she maintains her mercenary outlook. In the film continuation, her abilities evolve further when she achieves Astral Fusion with Amphitrite, merging with her Diva to gain enhanced agility and specialized armor for direct combat. By the end of the story, after the Divas are returned, she reunites with her Billiken, only to be disappointed that all the coins it had collected are gone, a final comedic beat that underscores her unchanging nature, before she returns to her home in Osaka.
