Description
Ginger is one of the three members of an alien girl gang that also includes her partners Sugar and Pepper. These three are aspiring delinquents from the same planetary school that Lum, Benten, and Oyuki once attended. Ginger is often referred to by the nickname Hotoke no Ginger, which translates to Ginger the Buddha. Her physical appearance typically includes short hair and what appear to be small horns growing from her head. In her original anime design, she had blonde hair and blue eyes, while the 2022 remake gave her teal hair with pink highlights and a fur-like outfit.
As a character, Ginger is defined by her ambition to build a fearsome reputation. She and her friends are determined to prove themselves as a legendary bad girl gang, but their primary obstacle is the outsized legend of Lum, Benten, and Oyuki, who are considered the most feared trio in their school's history.
