Description
Forte Stollen is the senior member and flight leader of the Moon Angel Troupe, possessing the team's most experience. Initially skeptical of Tact Mayers' command of the Elsior, she demands proof of his capabilities before offering trust. Witnessing his combat leadership transforms her skepticism into deep loyalty, cementing their professional bond. During crises, she maintains a stoic, composed demeanor, providing stability amidst teammate discord. Beyond the Troupe, she serves actively in the EDEN military, training forces on Seldar and mentoring Rune Angel Wing pilots Rico, Lily, Nano, and Kahlua.
Her personality blends professionalism with personal passion. She firmly believes applied force and honesty are foundational for teamwork. A firearms enthusiast, she prefers projectile weapons over modern laser arms and collects classical weaponry. She pursues drinking and vacations with notable enthusiasm. Despite a stern exterior, she shows protective instincts towards teammates and possesses a dry sense of humor. Her bleak childhood featured minimal parental supervision and war games using bottle rockets, hinting at early tactical inclinations. This background shaped her military career and selection as pilot of the heavily armored, firepower-focused but agility-limited GA-004 Emblem Frame, Happy Trigger.
Forte has red hair styled with one side longer than the other, blue eyes, and a tall, slim physique. Her attire is a modified military uniform: a cape-like jacket, purple sleeveless dress, black corset with gold edges, high-heeled pumps, peaked cap, and signature monocle. Later deployments modify her uniform with a white upper portion offering increased chest coverage. She accessorizes with a crop and whip. She is typically depicted taller than Tact, though animation inconsistencies occasionally alter this.
Her character develops across media. In the games, she volunteers for a high-risk solo mission against an enemy satellite, acknowledging her emotional drive to protect Tact while confronting fears of failure. This leads to a mental collapse requiring medical intervention and subsequent reconciliation with Tact. During the Moonlit Lovers storyline, she mentors Chitose Karasuma, diagnosing her rigidity and designing adaptability exercises; they mutually destroy drones disguised as each other. She later demonstrates uncompromising resolve by slapping the AI Noa to secure cooperation against the supercarrier O-Gaub, accepting retaliation to validate their alliance.
In the manga, she acts as an advisory figure within the Angel Troupe, guiding others through interpersonal conflicts while maintaining minimal romantic involvement with protagonist Takuto. Spin-offs like Galaxy Angel EX show her participating in leisure activities during mission breaks, reinforcing her appreciation for downtime. Post-Moon Angel, she advances within EDEN's military structure and trains Rune Angel Wing recruits, notably Kazuya. Later engagements involve combating the Val-Fasq faction and participating in large-scale conflicts where she faces Tact as an adversary under duress.
