Description
Known as "O Rei" (The King), he rules Silverland and is Princess Sapphire's father. At Sapphire's birth, he deliberately announces her as a male heir to prevent the villainous Duke Duralumin from inheriting the throne, initiating the story's central deception, as Silverland's laws prohibit female succession.

Politically aware, he recognizes Duralumin's oppressive nature and threat to the kingdom. His primary motivation is protecting Silverland's future and ensuring a just ruler inherits, leading him to support Sapphire's continued masquerade as Prince Sapphire despite risks.

Captured during Duralumin's coup orchestrated with the invading force leader Mr. X, he and the Queen are executed by being dropped into the sea. His death marks a pivotal moment, intensifying the conflict and motivating Sapphire's final confrontation with the invaders.

After death, he returns as a ghost to guide and advise Sapphire, maintaining his protective role. His spirit intervenes during critical moments, particularly the battle against Mr. X's forces. He provides Sapphire with three magic balls representing the allied kingdoms (Silverland, Goldland, and Charcoal-land), instructing her to use them to save Silverland.

In the climax, he and the Queen are resurrected by divine intervention. This occurs after the angel Tink sacrifices his life by appealing to God, who accepts the exchange to restore the monarchs to life. Their return signifies the restoration of legitimate rule and stability to Silverland.

Throughout the narrative, he embodies regal responsibility and paternal devotion, with his actions consistently focused on safeguarding both his daughter and his kingdom from tyranny. His arc encompasses sacrifice, spiritual guidance, and eventual restoration.
