José Carlos Guerra was a Portuguese voice actor known for his work in the dubbing of numerous anime series and films for the Portuguese market. He was born on December 3, 1944, and passed away on November 3, 2020. His birth name was José Carlos Malmagro Vieira.

He contributed his voice to a wide array of anime productions across several decades. One of his prominent later roles was as Okina, the Bamboo Cutter, in the film The Tale of the Princess Kaguya. He also voiced Dr. Nossori in both the Mazinger Z television series and the subsequent film Mazinger Z: Infinity. In the classic series Princess Knight, he provided the voice for the character O Rei (The King).

His extensive portfolio includes work in major long-running franchises. He voiced characters in the Dragon Ball universe, including Dr. Maki Gero, also known as Android 20, Emma Daioh, and the Grand Elder of Namekusei in Dragon Ball Z Kai, as well as Zarbuto in Dragon Ball Super. He was also the voice of Grumman in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Ebizo in Naruto Shippūden, and Tatsumi in two Saint Seiya productions: the Saint Seiya Omega television series and the film Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary. Other notable credits include roles in Cyborg 009 Call of Justice, One Punch Man, Yo-kai Watch, and Black Jack, among many others. Beyond anime, his voice was also heard in Portuguese dubs of live-action series such as Bewitched and Batman.
