Roddy Shuffle is a 14-year-old boy with black hair and petrol-colored eyes. During the Astrogater alien attack on the human colony Clayad, he finds himself stranded amidst the chaotic evacuation. He escapes aboard the training combat spacecraft *Janous* alongside twelve other children. Stranded together, the group learns to pilot VIFAM mecha for defense and survival during their perilous journey toward Earth. Their unity is tested by the discovery that one among them is secretly an alien.

Roddy is later captured and imprisoned on Tuat, an artificial satellite orbiting the alien homeworld Kukto. Within Tuat's confines, he encounters a Kuktonian rebel faction. Roddy collaborates with these rebels to orchestrate a daring prison break. After freeing the captives, the children learn their parents were forcibly relocated to Kukto, driving them to mount a rescue mission. This crucible forces Roddy's evolution from a displaced youth into an active resistance fighter, confronting extraterrestrial threats with growing resolve.

In the sequel series *Ginga Hyōryū Vifam 13*, Roddy continues to navigate interstellar conflict and the relentless mission to reunite with their parents. His role remains central to the children's collective survival and their ongoing struggle against the Astrogaters.
