Shôryû, a member of the Fuma Clan, is introduced as the younger twin brother of fellow clansman Kouu. This kinship proves strategically vital when the enemy warrior Byakko infiltrates the clan by impersonating Kouu; Shôryû's existence and resemblance directly expose the deception, thwarting Byakko's plans.

He fights against the rival Yasha Clan at Hakuo Academy and subsequently joins the larger Sacred Sword War, aligning with the Cosmo Warriors against the Chaos Warriors.

Three months after the Sacred Sword War concludes, Shôryû combats a rebellion within the Fuma Clan. Alongside clan members Kirikaze and Ryuho, he confronts the insurgent "New Fuma Clan" faction opposing traditional leadership, struggling to identify its leader while battling the traitors. His efforts sustain the internal conflict within the clan's village. Upon the return of the absent Kojirou and Ryoma, Shôryû joins them for the final confrontation against the New Fuma Clan, culminating in battles against former comrades, including the powerful warriors Muma and the mind-controller Shimon.
