Description
Orphe, a noble-born student at Rosenstolz Academy, carries the profound weight of his older sister Robertine's death, which triggers foul moods and conflicts, especially with peers like Lui. This unresolved grief haunts his dreams and drives his actions, particularly during her memorial period.

His fierce loyalty manifests when he challenges Lui to a duel over the malicious exposure of friend Ed's non-noble birth. This protective instinct extends to uncovering a political conspiracy targeting the king, forcing collaboration with Lui and Ed despite their conflicts. Severely wounded by a gunshot during this mission, Orphe confronts a pivotal choice: succumb to death and reunite with Robertine or fight to survive.

Orphe's development involves navigating complex moral dilemmas and loss. He encounters Douglas, shattered by tragedy, and must weigh the value of cherished memories against present realities after Douglas steals a treasured possession. Later, Josef Torger bequeaths him a notebook documenting noble corruption before dying by self-immolation, burdening Orphe with incriminating evidence. These experiences solidify his resolve against societal injustices.

Initially isolated by grief, Orphe's relationships evolve through trials. He gradually engages more with peers like Ed and Naoji. During a paired activity, Naoji reveals his bond with Lui, offering Orphe new perspectives. Interactions with Isaac, an undercover agent providing repeated aid, further shape his understanding of duty and sacrifice.
