Description
Dr. Thomas Light created the advanced Reploid X, granting it unprecedented free will and ethical decision-making capabilities. Concerned about potential dangers, Light sealed X within a capsule for extensive testing and refinement before activation, driven by ethical considerations about introducing such an autonomous being into the world.

Following Light's passing, Dr. Cain discovered X and utilized Light's designs to create Reploids, establishing a society of human and Reploid coexistence. Light's legacy endures through pre-recorded holographic messages stored in capsules hidden worldwide. These messages guide X, offering upgrades and philosophical counsel. Light expresses his trust in X's capacity for justice, framing X's ability to worry and hesitate not as a weakness but as a bridge between robots and humans – traits essential for ethical conflict resolution and peaceful coexistence.

During "The Day of Σ," Light's hologram appears at Sigma's debriefing on increasing Maverick attacks. When Sigma criticizes X's combat hesitation as a liability, Light defends these qualities as foundational to X's unique potential. He explains that X's compassion and capacity for concern represent an evolutionary step in robotics, enabling genuine ethical judgment and a deeper human connection. Light acknowledges the uncertainty of this potential's outcome but affirms X embodies his vision for human-Reploid mutual understanding. He also reveals he extended his lifespan to witness X's development, doubting he would see its full realization.

Light's holograms continue mentoring X throughout the conflict, providing armor upgrades: Foot Parts for dashing, Head Parts for breaking blocks, Arm Parts for enhanced firepower, and Body Parts for damage reduction. Each upgrade comes with encouragement, reinforcing Light's belief in X as humanity's protector. One capsule even grants X the Hadouken technique, symbolizing Light's trust in his near-human spirit. Light's final messages express sorrow over the escalating war but reaffirm his conviction that X can end it peacefully.

Light's philosophy directly opposes Sigma's worldview. Where Sigma sees emotion as a flaw to eliminate for Reploid supremacy, Light champions it as the key to a shared future. This ideological clash underpins the narrative, positioning Light's vision of coexistence through empathy and ethical choice as the antithesis to Sigma's rebellion.
