Turbo Norimaki, the biological son of Senbei Norimaki and Midori Yamabuki, was born an ordinary infant in Penguin Village. His life took a dramatic turn when Senbei left him unattended in a car while spying on women. Turbo crawled away and suffered a fatal collision with an alien spacecraft. The aliens revived him using advanced medical technology, but lacking human data, their approximation accidentally imbued him with superhuman abilities: superintelligence, telekinesis, teleportation, flight, and technopathy. They returned him unharmed to the accident site. His family remained unaware of the transformation, initially believing his emerging powers stemmed from inherited genius. Shortly after the incident, the infant Turbo displayed extraordinary intellect, speaking fluently upon teething and grasping complex technology far beyond Senbei's inventions. He frequently used his psychic abilities to repair or enhance his father's flawed gadgets. His powers first manifested visibly when he unintentionally levitated Midori's bicycle to avoid an oncoming truck, echoing *E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial*. The family first misattributed the flight to Midori's maternal instincts before confirming Turbo as the source. In the original *Dr. Slump* series, Turbo served as a supporting character, often joining his robotic sister Arale and the Gatchans on misadventures. He demonstrated his abilities during Goku's visit to Penguin Village in the *Dragon Ball* crossover. When Senbei failed to repair Goku's Dragon Radar, Turbo secretly fixed it using technopathy. Later, he freed Goku from General Blue's psychic paralysis. Despite his significance, Turbo remained a baby throughout the series. Turbo reappeared in the *Dragon Ball Super* "Future" Trunks Saga cameo, depicted as an infant alongside Midori despite decades passing in-universe, reflecting Penguin Village's ageless nature. He also appeared aged into a young boy with a black bowl haircut in the sequel manga *The Brief Return of Dr. Slump* (also known as *Dr. Slump Returns*), which introduced his younger sister, Nitro Norimaki. In one chapter, Turbo befriends Lettuce Sarada, who develops a puppy-love crush on him due to his kindness. A future timeline in the original manga showed Turbo as a slightly older child, though his role remained limited to cameos. His name was inspired by Akira Toriyama's dog, Turbo-maru, with Senbei citing its "high horsepower" connotation as fitting.
