Description
Currypanman hails from the Japanese children's series Soreike! Anpanman, created by Takashi Yanase. His origins show variation: the original manga depicts Uncle Jam explicitly creating him as Anpanman's younger brother, while the anime series and character song often state his origins are unknown, claiming "nobody knows where he came from." Early anime episodes briefly referenced the manga's creation story but did not maintain this consistently.

He possesses a distinctive lemon-shaped head crafted from curry-filled bread. His appearance includes red cheeks and an orange uniform adorned with a lemon-shaped emblem, completed by a white belt, yellow gloves, a yellow cape, and yellow boots.

His personality blends contrasting traits: a cocky, proud, and self-confident demeanor, displaying overt narcissism beyond Shokupanman's. He embraces excitement and champions a "spicy" life philosophy centered on risk-taking and self-challenge, frequently clashing with Shokupanman's cautious "sweet" approach, leading to recurring arguments. Despite this friction, they share a close bond. Beneath his brash exterior lies kindness and generosity, especially evident in his eagerness to feed others his curry, though he can be insensitive toward matters he deems unimportant. He exhibits a full emotional range including anger, jealousy, and romantic interest.

He serves as one of Anpanman's primary allies within the core heroic trio, functioning as the group's strongman. His combat abilities feature signature physical attacks: Curry-punch and Curry-kick, mirroring Anpanman and Shokupanman's styles, though Currypanman often employs a more pronounced wind-up motion for punches, especially in films. His most distinctive offensive capability is Curry Spit, expelling hot, spicy curry from his mouth. This serves dual purposes: temporarily blinding adversaries and feeding hungry individuals. Extensive use shrinks his head, diminishing his power until replenished. He also participates in combination attacks like Double Punch (with one ally) and Triple Punch (with two allies), frequently partnering with Anpanman, Shokupanman, or occasionally Melonpanna.

His equipment includes a cooking pot filled with curry carried during flight. In select western-themed episodes, he utilizes dual pistols loaded with curry, firing it as projectiles.

His curry-based composition directly influences his capabilities and states through specific transformations:
- **Fiery Currypanman:** Triggered by an injection of extremely spicy curry from Baikinman, this state induces uncontrollable rage, causing indiscriminate attacks (except toward Baikinman) even targeting food with his curry spit. He returned to normal after consuming special seasoning from Uncle Jam.
- **Spicy Currypanman:** Achieved by consuming curry prepared by Batakoko and the Spice Prince, this form enhances facial heat and strength, allowing him to counteract blizzard attacks like Baikinman's.
- **Refreshed Currypanman:** Occurring after consuming mint-infused curry from Mint-chan, this state induces heightened politeness, sparkly eyes, and a personality shift adopting characteristics similar to Shokupanman's typically level-headed demeanor.

Temporary splits have also occurred, separating him into distinct personas: one specialized in ultra-spicy curry with a brutish personality, and another producing mild curry with a gentle disposition.

His culinary skills extend beyond curry, though it remains his signature dish. He actively cooks for others, with his curry dinners described as universally beloved. Unlike Anpanman, he does not offer parts of his head for consumption, instead serving curry from his pot or prepared meals. His head requires periodic refilling rather than complete replacement when depleted.

Significant relationship dynamics include frequent disputes with Shokupanman over their "spicy" versus "sweet" life philosophies, yet their underlying bond remains strong. He functions effectively within the heroic team, particularly alongside Anpanman and Shokupanman, and occasionally partners with others like Melonpanna for combination attacks.
