Description
Yusuke Kinoshita begins as a high school student compelled to work at his family's Pia Carrot 1st restaurant during summer vacation due to poor academic performance, initially viewing it as a mundane duty. His father, Yasuo Kinoshita, owns the Pia Carrot chain. Yusuke's family connections include his younger sister Rumi Kinoshita and cousin Kiyomi Kitagawa, both featured in the original storyline.
Through his employment, Yusuke develops significant relationships with the waitstaff, particularly manager Shiho Kannaduki and colleagues Shouko Inaba—his childhood friend—and Satomi Morihara, forming the core of his initial narrative.
In later installments, Yusuke advances from temporary employee to management within the restaurant group. By Welcome to Pia Carrot 2, set four years after the original, he becomes chief of Pia Carrot 2nd. During Welcome to Pia Carrot 2.2, he temporarily serves as chief of Pia Carrot 3rd.
