Kentarō Itō is a Japanese voice actor and stage actor born on January 3, 1974, in Hachiōji, Tokyo. He is affiliated with the talent agency Mausu Promotion and also serves as the representative of his own theater company, Theater Company K-Show. He began his career after graduating from the drama department of Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music, making his voice acting debut in 1995. Over the years, he has been associated with several different agencies, including Haikyo, Mediarte, and Amuleto, before joining Mausu Promotion in 2016.

Itō has built a substantial career through a wide variety of roles in anime, video games, and drama CDs. His filmography is extensive, featuring major characters in long-running and popular series. He is widely recognized for his portrayal of Renji Abarai in the long-running series Bleach and Choji Akimichi in Naruto and its sequel Naruto: Shippuden. Other prominent roles include Jin Tadokoro in Yowamushi Pedal, Yoshitake Shiraishi in Golden Kamuy, Tetsuo Kaga in Hikaru no Go, and Hiroki Kamijo in Junjo Romantica. He also played Barry the Chopper in the 2003 adaptation of Fullmetal Alchemist, N'Doul in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, and Kazuichi Banjou in Tokyo Ghoul.

In addition to these, Itō has taken on roles in major franchise productions. He voices Fukaboshi, one of the princes of the Ryugu Kingdom, in the Fish-Man Island Saga of One Piece. He also provides the voice for the cunning and brutal general Kan Ki in the historical manga adaptation Kingdom, a role that was confirmed for the anime's fifth series. His work spans multiple genres and formats, from long-running shonen series to dramas and science fiction.

Throughout his career, Itō has collaborated with various directors and fellow voice actors on numerous projects. He has shared credits with actors like Tomokazu Seki and Showtaro Morikubo across multiple series. Notably, he has a long-standing friendship and frequent collaboration with voice actor Mori and森田成一, with whom he has worked on series such as Bleach and La Corda d'Oro. He is also a stage actor and founded his own theater company, K-Show, in 2003, demonstrating a continued commitment to live performance alongside his voice acting work.
