Anti began as a kaiju created by Akane Shinjo solely to defeat Gridman. He possesses the unique ability to disguise himself as a human/repli-compoid, taking the form of a young man with short gray hair, red eyes, and distinctive attire: a blue jacket featuring purple flame patterns and a long, wispy scarf. His initial nature is aggressively single-minded in combat against Gridman, often disregarding social norms and hygiene due to his kaiju origins. This manifests as scavenging for food and gluttonous behavior without table manners. Despite Akane's callous and abusive treatment, he remains loyal to her, though he refuses orders to murder innocent people.
In his true kaiju form, Anti appears as a biomechanical humanoid monster with a purple, white, and black exoskeleton. Key features include a crested helmet with a red crystalline visor, a forehead orb indicating his time limit, wrist claws, and spherical organs firing energy bullets and beams. His signature ability allows him to adapt and mimic opponents' powers, developing variants like **Buster Anti** (abdominal missiles resembling teeth, copied from Borr), **Sky Anti** (organic leg thrusters for flight, mimicking Sky Vitter), and **Bio-Flares** (projected to confuse pursuers during aerial combat).
Repeated rejection by Akane leads him to question his purpose. Inspired by Samurai Calibur, he evolves beyond his programming into Gridknight. This form resembles Gridman's Primal Fighter but features a yellow neon glow and design elements from his original kaiju form. As Gridknight, he gains autonomy, transforming at will and wielding new abilities: **Gridknight Circular** (a purple energy buzzsaw for melee or ranged attacks), **Gridknight Storm** (a beam equivalent to Gridman's Grid Beam, fired from his right arm), and **Assist Weapon usage** (Gridknight Calibur, a futuristic katana transformed from Gridman Calibur, enabling techniques like Knight Calibur End).
He later reappears alongside Anosillus the 2nd, operating under the name Knight. His personality matures into a calmer yet standoffish demeanor, retaining traces of abrasiveness. He protectively guards Anosillus the 2nd, initially clashing with Gauma before gradually improving their relationship through teamwork. His attire updates to a blue suit with a sword, reflecting Samurai Calibur's influence.
During subsequent multiverse instability, he aids in combating kaiju and confronts the entity Mad Origin. His evolution culminates in combining with allies as Full Power Gridknight. He reconciles with Akane after she apologizes for her past mistreatment, allowing him to fully embrace his identity as a protector. His scarf transforms from tattered and dark to orderly and light gray, symbolizing his growth from a weapon to an autonomous hero.
