Description
Montine, an anthropomorphic female flying squirrel with pink hair and rosy cheeks, adorns hair ribbons, a long-sleeved dress, and a pearl necklace. Partnered with her sibling Monga in the Momonga duo, she initially serves as a supporting antagonist in the *Hello Kitty Ringo no Mori* trilogy, leveraging magic to steal objects—most notably the Apple Pendant protected by the forest fairy Pururuu—driven by relentless hunger.

Subsequent stories reposition Montine and Monga as comedic figures, their schemes frequently involving collaborations with antagonists like the black cat Akuro and the wizard Makkuro. These plans inevitably falter due to their clumsy execution. During *Ringo no Mori to Parallel Town*, a mishap during a food theft strands them in a parallel dimension. Abandoning villainy after repeated failures, they pivot to operating a restaurant in Parallel Town, settling there permanently.

Though their origins and relationships beyond the sibling bond remain undefined, the duo persists as recurring foils to the protagonists. Their narrative trajectory shifts from petty thievery to chaotic yet harmless antics, ultimately anchoring them in neutral, non-malicious roles within later arcs.
