Description
Batman, in the Batman Ninja narrative, is Bruce Wayne's vigilante persona transported to feudal Japan during a conflict with Gorilla Grodd at Arkham Asylum. Grodd's experimental Quake Engine displaced them through time. While Batman's allies and enemies arrived two years earlier due to spatial positioning within the machine, Batman appeared later. He discovered Gotham's villains had become feudal lords dominating Japan and altering history, with the Joker ruling supreme from a transformed Arkham Castle.

Initially dependent on technology like his Batmobile and mechanized armor, Batman adapted to feudal combat methods after suffering strategic defeats, including an ambush by Joker's forces and betrayal by Grodd. He mastered ninjutsu and sword-fighting under the Bat Clan of Hida. This group, led by Eian, revered him as a prophesied foreign bat ninja destined to restore order and had previously aided Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, and Robin.

Strategically, Batman formed a temporary alliance with Grodd to recover the Quake Engine and return everyone to their timeline, though Grodd later betrayed him to collaborate with Two-Face. Recovering from injuries sustained in a Joker-triggered explosion, Batman urged his allies to embrace ninja disciplines, leading to intensive training in stealth, acrobatics, and martial arts. This evolution culminated in the large-scale "Field of Hell" battle, where he coordinated the Bat-Family and Bat Clan against the warring villains and Grodd's mind-controlled forces.

During this conflict, Batman learned the Joker and Harley Quinn had lived as amnesiac farmers before recovering their memories. He deployed a united front against the villains' combined mechanized castles, forming the super robot "Lord Joker." Utilizing an army of monkeys provided by the injured Grodd and a swarm of bats, Batman facilitated the creation of the "Batgod," a giant samurai entity that battled Lord Joker. He then defeated the Joker in a decisive sword fight using his refined ninjutsu skills.

Following victory, Batman ensured the villains were returned to the present for custody by James Gordon while the Bat Clan restored feudal Japan. Upon returning to Gotham City, he retained elements of his Japanese experience, notably using a horse-drawn Batmobile. His equipment included a specialized Batsuit, grapple gun, and a Bat-Sword, integrating feudal weaponry with his standard arsenal.
