Description
Makina is a cyborg fiercely devoted to Chiharu, a genetically enhanced superhuman she protects as a best friend. This protective drive manifests in aggressive preemptive strikes against anyone she perceives as a threat to Chiharu, resulting in an extensive criminal record spanning 17 arrests. She believes Chiharu attracts untrustworthy people, justifying her forceful interventions.

Her actions escalated during an impromptu drive on an interplanetary highway, where she engaged police drone cars in a high-speed chase and destroyed one with an energy cannon. This led to her arrest alongside Chiharu for obstruction of justice and destruction of police property. Prison overcrowding resulted in a sentence of community service cleaning an intergalactic train with other convicts.

While cleaning, Makina discovered a faulty control panel. A miscommunication from her to a malfunctioning animatronic train attendant inadvertently activated the train's uncontrolled departure sequence into deep space. During the ensuing chaos, she deployed a built-in arm taser to paralyze convict Kanata during a confrontation.

Her confrontational nature triggered a physical brawl with another superhuman convict, Akane. The fight abruptly ceased when they recognized matching accessories revealing a shared fandom for idol singer Minami, forging an unexpected bond.

A police officer later analyzed Makina's history, criticizing her quickness to judge others and her role in enabling Chiharu's passivity. The officer explicitly challenged Makina's self-perception, stating her own arrest record placed her among the "dropkicks" she despised and warning her behavior could isolate her in future crises.

Throughout the runaway train incident, Makina reluctantly collaborated with other convicts, including cyborgs Kurt and Max, whom she initially distrusted. She pragmatically negotiated payment for their help disabling a security robot. Her mechanical capabilities include transforming her arm into an energy-based weapon and integrating with futuristic technology.
