Description
Bell Forgma is a character introduced in the second season of the anime Farming Life in Another World. She belongs to a unique race known as the Mercury species, which are artificial life forms created with a specific purpose. Bell and her kin were originally designed to manage the operations of the Sun King, a massive floating vessel, and to assist its lord.

Bell holds the prominent position of head assistant to the lord of the Sun King and is recognized as the representative of the entire Mercury species. In terms of her duties, she effectively acts as the vice-captain of the Sun King, a role that places her in a high level of authority among her sixteen fellow Mercury units.

Physically, Bell is depicted as a female with long white hair that she typically wears tied up. Her standard attire is that of a maid, reflecting her service-oriented function. A notable personal trait is her fondness for cats. She is also characterized by a long wait, as she spent an extended period in the power reactor section of the Sun King, hidden behind a series of secret doors, awaiting the arrival of a hero.

When the protagonist Hiraku and his party from the Village of the Great Tree finally discover her, her primary motivation becomes clear. Bell possesses crucial knowledge about a major threat, the Demon Lord Galgardo. Her immediate goal upon meeting the village chief is to fulfill her purpose by providing him with the information needed to defeat this enemy, specifically instructing him on the Demon Lord's weakness.

Her role in the story is thus a pivotal one, acting as a guide and a source of vital intelligence for the village. Through this interaction, she becomes connected to the growing community. Key relationships develop from this point, particularly with other residents of the Sun King. She shares a bond with her fellow Mercury species, notably Gou Forgma, who serves as the unit's helmsman. Bell observes the dynamic between Gou and a character named Holly with amusement, suggesting a watchful and perhaps playful personality.

While the second season marks her first appearance, her background as an artificial life form waiting for a hero allows for potential development as she integrates into the wider world beyond her original programming. Her notable ability stems from her nature as a Mercury species; she is an artificial being designed for high-level management and administration. Furthermore, as a resident of the Sun King, she is sustained by its energy, making food unnecessary, though she can consume it if she assumes human form.
