Description
Ohse Minato is a resident of the share house and is known as the Charisma of Internal Punishment. He is 21 years old and his birthday is on June 14th. Physically, he has a pallid complexion with unkempt teal hair that features lavender tips and distinctive yellow eyes. His typical attire consists of an oversized white sweatshirt with graphics, a purple undershirt, and neon yellow sweatpants, and he is often seen barefoot or wearing fluffy sliders. His room, numbered 203, is a disorganized mess filled with craft supplies, a desktop computer, and a sleeping bag that serves as his bed. It also visibly contains a noose and plastic bags, reflecting his internal struggles, and he is known to break his window as another method of self-harm.
Ohse holds himself in extremely low regard, viewing his self-esteem as worthless and feeling disconnected from society. He frequently jumps at the chance to harm himself, sometimes even attempting suicide in moments of joy, believing that death is the only way he can be truly happy. When shown kindness, his first thought is often to kill himself so he can be happy forever. Despite his profound self-loathing and seeing himself as a burden, he cares deeply for his housemates. He is typically the first person to notice when others are experiencing emotional turmoil, though his poor self-image makes it difficult for him to communicate his worry. While he tries not to impose himself on others, he can be persuaded to join in their activities. When pushed, especially in defense of his housemates, he is capable of standing his ground and should not be underestimated.
His primary motivation seems to be a desire to escape his own self-hatred, though he secretly wishes to find happiness alongside the other residents. Within the story, he plays the role of a deeply troubled but empathetic member of the household whose presence challenges the others and highlights the diverse nature of charisma. His relationships with other key characters are complex. He frequently argues with Iori Motohashi, as Ohse’s belief that he is worthless clashes with Iori’s personality. He refers to Iori as Io-kun. Terra checks on him often, and Ohse cherishes Terra's compliments on his art. He respects Rikai Kusanagi, and with Rikai's urging, he has tried to be less suicidal and more rational. Despite being too shy for proper conversations with Kei Sarukawa, which has led to arguments, Ohse likes him and created a painting of a lone wolf for him based on his perception of Sarukawa, a gift that Sarukawa cherishes. Amahiko Tendo often includes him in group events and checks up on him. Notably, Ohse is one of the few people not pressured by Fumiya Ito's presence. He once threatened Fumiya for crossing a line, stating he would kill him on the spot. Despite this, they are friends, and Ohse feels he can confide in Fumiya, who knows the best ways to comfort him.
In terms of development, he was the first resident to experience a second Charisma Break, known as a Hell Break. He is known to enjoy creative hobbies such as metalwork, drawing, and photography, and he keeps a pet lizard in his room. He dislikes vegetables and has no favorite food, stating that whatever fills him up will do. His favorite color is white, specifically in the context of snow. As the Charisma of Internal Punishment, his notable abilities are intrinsically linked to his psychological state of self-inflicted punishment and his capacity to endure it.
