Description
Takuya Muramatsu is a male student in Class 3-E of Kunugigaoka Junior High School, identifiable by his dirty blonde hair, small black eyes, and a relaxed posture often accompanied by a perpetual, mischievous grin. His most distinctive physical trait is his noticeably prominent teeth. He stands at 176 centimeters and weighs 61 kilograms, with an August 25 birthday and A-type blood.

Muramatsu is characterized by a laid-back, carefree, and often jovial personality. He lacks enthusiasm for the class's assassination training and prefers to operate at his own pace, though he is not inherently malicious. Despite an initial rebellious streak as part of the school's "delinquent" group, his demeanor softens over time as he becomes more cooperative and focused on his personal goals.

He comes from a family that runs a ramen shop called Matsuraiken. However, the shop serves food of poor quality due to his stubborn father's refusal to allow any changes to the recipe or menu. This background is a central part of his identity; he dreams of one day taking over the family business and revitalizing it into a successful and popular establishment. His mother is a fan of a famous boy band and named him after an idol singer, a fact that causes him a degree of personal embarrassment.

Within the story, Muramatsu is initially a follower of Ryoma Terasaka, acting as one of his core group members alongside Daisei Yoshida. He takes part in schemes that oppose the class's collective activities, including an early attempt to use classmate Nagisa Shiota as a tool for an assassination. Following a severe reprimand from the teacher Korosensei for this plan, Muramatsu loses much of his drive for the assassination missions. His trajectory changes when he secretly attends Korosensei's remedial study sessions. His academic performance, particularly in Home Economics, improves dramatically, leading him to tie for the top score in that subject and earn the reward of shooting one of Korosensei's tentacles. This success diminishes his rebellious attitude but creates a temporary rift between him and Terasaka, who feels betrayed.

The friendship is eventually reconciled after Terasaka has a change of heart and risks himself to save his friends from an antagonist named Shiro. Muramatsu then re-embraces his role within the group, contributing his specific talents to class strategies. His cooking skills prove vital during the school festival, where he acts as head chef and spends a week researching how to create a profitable and delicious ramen dish made from acorn noodles. He also develops a significant relationship with the younger student Itona Horibe, who frequently asks him for ramen and gives him the nickname "Hechima" (Loofah) based on his appearance.

As a student, Muramatsu's notable abilities lie almost entirely outside of assassination. He is widely considered the best male cook in Class 3-E, a skill he developed from working in his family's kitchen. He excels in Home Economics while struggling with mathematics, reflecting his preference for practical, hands-on work. In terms of combat-related skills, he ranks fourth among the boys in marksmanship, with a score of 90 out of 200, and performs capably in knife-fighting scenarios, especially when partnered with Daisei Yoshida.

Throughout the series, Muramatsu develops from a disinterested and troublesome student into a more responsible and driven young man. By the conclusion of the story, he has fully committed to his future goal. Seven years after graduation, he is shown having taken over his family's ramen shop, successfully modernizing the recipes as he always wished. His ambition extends beyond a single shop, aiming to use his studies in business management to build a large chain of ramen bars, directly applying the lessons on adaptability and entrepreneurship he learned in Class 3-E.
