ONA
Description
Adad is an alien character from the Ultraman manga and its anime adaptation, belonging to a species known as Alien Scruda. His full title is Agent Adad of the Immigration Administration Bureau under the Star Cluster Council, and he operates as a field agent for this interstellar governing body. He stands approximately 1.94 meters tall and weighs around 107 kilograms, with a distinctive white body marked by black stripes. At the time of the story, Adad is 271 years old.

Adad speaks in an eloquent and theatrical manner, often delivering lines with a dramatic flair that masks a cruel and mocking personality. Despite his official position as an agent of the Star Cluster Council, he is not fully trusted by his superiors due to his unorthodox behavior and tendency to act with little regard for his assigned missions or orders. He has a flair for the dramatic, as shown when he interrupts a concert by Rena Sayama, breaking a man's neck before appearing on stage to announce his intention to kill the singer and everyone else as an encore. However, this apparent brutality is part of a more complex agenda.

Adad is sent to Earth with several important missions, including searching for the lost genius Yapool and monitoring the being known as Bemular. His role in the story initially casts him as an antagonist, but his true purpose is more nuanced. His dramatic confrontation at Rena Sayama's concert is revealed to be a carefully staged operation designed to draw out the alien Pigmon, the last survivor of Planet Igaru. The floating mines he deploys over the audience are actually projectors that reveal the truth about recent murders, exposing how humans had been manipulating Pigmon to kill innocent people and frame alien refugees. After exposing the truth and executing Pigmon on stage, Adad teleports away, protected by his status as a Council agent.

Adad forms several key relationships throughout the narrative. He works alongside Bemular, questioning him about past events such as the airplane tragedy from twelve years prior, believing that Bemular was actually trying to protect the plane rather than destroy it. He recruits Red and Kotaro Higashi to help locate Yapool and Jack when they go missing, warning about the increasing activity of the Star of Darkness. In battle, he fights alongside other Ultraman suit-wearers against common enemies, using his combat staff to counter weapons like the Specium Sword and dealing with powerful foes such as a gravity-controlling alien.

Later in the story, Adad undergoes significant development as he begins to defect from the Star Cluster Council. He starts hiding alien refugees in Hong Kong with assistance from friends, condemning the corruption within the organization. The Council, deciding that he knows too much, brands him a traitor and sends the Leo Brothers to assassinate him. Adad fights back while protecting his charges, using performance-enhancing drugs to amplify his physical capabilities, increase his size, and accelerate his regeneration to keep up with the assassins. After being rescued by Dan Moroboshi, the Council escalates further by unleashing the bioweapon Nova to eliminate all witnesses, including the Leo Brothers. Adad joins forces with Moroboshi, the Leo Brothers, and Shinjiro Hayata to defeat Nova. His commitment to protecting alien immigrants solidifies as he becomes a freelance protector combating human xenophobia.

Adad's story concludes in Detroit, where he is mediating between human mobs and alien immigrants. During these negotiations, he is fatally shot by an unidentified assailant. His death inspires human children to build memorials in his honor and galvanizes his allies to reaffirm their faith in humanity.

In terms of abilities, Adad is an exceptionally skilled combatant. He possesses superhuman strength that rivals Dan Moroboshi in his Ultraman suit, can break a human neck with ease, and has a body conditioned to withstand extreme gravitational forces. He demonstrates remarkable agility, able to jump high into the air and perform various acrobatic feats while dodging attacks. His primary weapon is a combat staff that can counter Moroboshi's Specium Sword, and he also carries a combat knife. Adad has the ability to disguise himself as a human and possesses either the innate ability or a device that allows him to teleport. His species is described as warlike due to their inferior physical abilities compared to most other aliens in the Ultraman universe, and Adad himself was subject to genetic manipulation procedures to increase his combat capability, being the first of his kind to undergo such enhancement. Later in the story, he uses drugs that can amplify his bodily functions, increase his size dramatically, and provide rapid wound regeneration.
