ONA
Description
Cater Diamond is a third-year student belonging to the Heartslabyul dormitory at Night Raven College, known for his perceptive nature, strong communication skills, and stylish, trendy personality. He has orange hair with the top portion tied back into a short ponytail while the rest hangs straight, and green eyes. A distinctive feature is the small red diamond-shaped mark located under one of his eyes. As part of the Heartslabyul dorm, his uniform includes a white shirt, a red vest patterned with diamonds, and a blazer over it, along with white trousers and red-and-white high-top sneakers.

On the surface, Cater presents himself as an easy-going, peppy, and friendly upperclassman. He is an avid user of social media, constantly keeping up with the latest trends and incorporating modern slang into his speech. This outgoing and cheerful demeanor makes him popular and well-liked, but it also serves as a facade that hides a more guarded interior. This trait stems from his childhood; his father worked as a banker for an international firm, requiring the family to move to a different country approximately once every two years. As a result, Cater grew accustomed to shallow, short-term relationships, finding it difficult to maintain long-lasting friendships and gradually learning to avoid deep emotional ties. He prefers fun, light, and broad social connections over deep, interfering ones, and he admits he has never truly been able to befriend anyone in the Ignihyde dorm.

Cater is the youngest child in his family, with two older sisters whom he frequently mentions bossing him around. His family environment, where his sisters rated everything by how cute it was, has influenced his behavior and preferences. A notable consequence of this upbringing is his dislike for all sweet foods. During his childhood, his mother and sisters would bake frequently and insist he eat the desserts; if he refused, they would become disheartened, forcing him to eat them to avoid upsetting them, which eventually led to his aversion to sweets. He is also not particularly fond of academics or studying, expressing a desire to live his school life to the fullest in non-academic ways and often looking for the easiest path out of tough assignments. Despite this, he is skilled in astrology, which he notes is based on statistics rather than being purely mystical.

Within the story, Cater serves as a senior member of Heartslabyul and acts as a reliable, if sometimes sly, source of information and support for the main protagonist and the first-year students Ace Trappola and Deuce Spade. He is one of the few characters who possesses a functional understanding of social dynamics and often acts as a peacemaker or advisor, though he tends to avoid directly confronting problems head-on. His closest relationship is with his classmate and fellow third-year, Trey Clover. They have been friends since their first year and were roommates for two years. Cater acts as Trey's right-hand man, assisting him in his duties as the Vice-Housewarden. While Trey is aware of Cater's dislike for sweets, he kept this secret for him, and Cater is a great admirer of Trey's cooking, even if he often has to share the sweets Trey makes with others. His relationship with the Housewarden, Riddle Rosehearts, is more complex; he and Trey often work to mitigate Riddle's strict rule and keep the peace within the dorm, though they follow his orders to maintain order. Cater has never been beheaded by Riddle, which he considers notable.

As a character, Cater experiences subtle development as he becomes more integrated into the Heartslabyul dorm. After Riddle's emotional breakdown and subsequent reconciliation, the atmosphere in the dorm becomes less oppressive, allowing Cater to feel more secure and less like he is merely performing a role. His tendency to maintain an emotional distance is slowly challenged by the genuine friendships he begins to form, though his core habit of putting on a cheerful front remains a central part of his personality.

Cater possesses a unique magical ability known as Split Card. This signature spell allows him to create clones of himself that can act independently. The more clones he generates, the more difficult it becomes for him to maintain them, but the ability is highly useful for multitasking, gathering information, and performing labor. Beyond magic, his talents include skateboarding, and he has a great sense of balance. He is also an avid explorer of cafés as a hobby and, despite his hatred of sweet foods, he is known for his knowledge of stylish and gourmet dining spots. He is a member of the school's Light Music Club, alongside Kalim Al-Asim and Lilia Vanrouge, who, like Cater, are known for their gentle and friendly natures.
