Michael Sinterniklaas is a French-American voice actor, ADR director, and script writer known for his extensive work in English-language dubs of Japanese anime, as well as Western animated series. Born Michael Tremain Sinterniklaas on August 13, 1972, in Nice, France, he moved to the United States at the age of ten. He is a graduate of the High School of Performing Arts in New York City.

Sinterniklaas is the founder and owner of NYAV Post, a bi-coastal recording studio with locations in New York City and Los Angeles. The studio has dubbed numerous anime titles and has been central to his career as both a performer and a director. His work in the industry began in the 1990s with North Carolina-based dubs for companies like AnimEigo, on shows such as Bubblegum Crisis. He has since provided voices for a wide range of projects distributed by major companies including 4Kids Entertainment, Funimation, Viz Media, and Studiopolis.

While he is widely recognized for his lead roles in Western animation, such as Leonardo in the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series and Dean Venture in The Venture Bros., his filmography in anime is particularly extensive and diverse. Among his many notable anime roles are Taki Tachibana in the critically acclaimed film Your Name., a role he later reprised for a cameo in Weathering with You. He also voices Pipimi in the surreal comedy series Pop Team Epic. In the long-running series Bleach, he is known for voicing the Arrancars Nnoitra Gilga and Luppi Antenor, a role he reprised for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. He voiced Horohoro in the 2021 version of Shaman King.

His other significant anime credits span a wide variety of genres and eras. He played Ivan Karelin, the hero known as Origami Cyclone, in Tiger & Bunny and its sequel, Tiger & Bunny 2. He voiced Hen Jin in the Star Wars: Visions anthology, Griffith in Cagaster of an Insect Cage, and Kuniharu Saiki in The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.: Reawakened. In the Eden of the East franchise, he voiced Satoshi Osugi in both The King of Eden and Paradise Lost. His film work includes roles in The Night is Short, Walk On Girl as Mock Jougasaki, Patema Inverted as Age, Summer Wars as Kenji Koiso, and A Silent Voice as Kazuki Shimada. Earlier in his career, he took on roles such as Gai Shishiô in GaoGaiGar: King of the Braves, Sarutobi Sasuke in the Sengoku Basara films and series, and Sora in Naruto Shippuden. He also voiced Cyborg 004/Albert Heinrich in Cyborg 009 Vs. Devilman and Maximus and Triton in Marvel Future Avengers Season 2.

Beyond acting, Sinterniklaas is a highly respected ADR director and script writer, having directed English dubs for numerous series. His directing credits include Berserk, Kurokami: The Animation, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Slayers Revolution, and Slayers Evolution-R, among many others. Through his work at NYAV Post, he has facilitated bi-coastal collaborations, frequently working with voice actors from both New York and Los Angeles on the same project. He has recurring collaborations with many voice actors, including Stephanie Sheh, with whom he has worked on numerous shows and films. His career continues to be active, with recent and upcoming roles in series such as Pluto, Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture, and Go! Go! Loser Ranger!.
