Description
Lah Kara is a Force-sensitive human female and the daughter of the legendary sabersmith Lah Zhima. She grew up with her father on the planet Hy Izlan, learning about the craft of lightsaber creation. When the Margrave Juro sought to revive the long-extinct Jedi Order, Zhima crafted several lightsabers, and Kara was entrusted with delivering them. This mission placed her directly in the path of Sith agents who attacked her family, abducted her father, and pursued her to seize the weapons. This event set her on a journey of survival and self-discovery.

Kara is characterized by a combination of natural bravery and deep vulnerability. She is determined to rescue her father and restore what was lost, but she carries the weight of her perceived failure in preventing his capture. This guilt haunts her and drives her forward, though it also makes her prone to fear and grief. She forms strong emotional attachments to those she cares about, a trait that mirrors the classic Jedi struggle with attachment and the risk of falling to the dark side. Despite her insecurity, she possesses a resilient spirit and an instinctive empathy that allows her to connect with others, such as the stranded droid Teto, who becomes a key companion in her journey.

Her motivations are centered on familial love and the desire to reunite with her father, but they also extend to a broader hope of reviving the Jedi Order. She is not yet a fully trained Jedi, but others sense that she holds extraordinary potential, with some describing her as stronger than anyone else. This places a burden on her as she grapples with whether she can live up to that expectation.

In the story, Kara acts as the central protagonist of the episodes The Ninth Jedi and its sequel The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope. She is thrust into a galaxy where the Jedi are nearly extinct and must navigate threats from Jedi Hunters while searching for her father. Her role evolves from a delivery girl to a fledgling Jedi, with her journey serving as the emotional core of the narrative.

Key relationships include her father Lah Zhima, whose capture fuels her quest; Margrave Juro, the would-be restorer of the Jedi Order who becomes a mentor figure; Ethan, a fellow traveler and ally; and Teto, a loyal service droid who has waited alone for centuries and with whom she forms a touching bond of trust and sacrifice. Her antagonists include the Jedi Hunters, particularly a hunter named Anda.

Over the course of her appearances, Kara undergoes significant development. She begins as a young woman uncertain of her abilities, haunted by her past failure. Through trials such as drifting alone in space and navigating a damaged vessel, she confronts her doubts and begins to grow into her role. The episode Child of Hope shows her moving from insecurity toward a tentative confidence, though her journey is far from complete, leaving her arc open to further exploration.

Notable abilities include her strong connection to the Force, which grants her natural talent with a lightsaber. She demonstrates the capacity to deflect blaster bolts while piloting a speeder bike backward and can duel multiple Sith acolytes at once. She also possesses an instinctual ability to see through deception, allowing her to perceive the true nature of those she encounters. Her lightsaber, when she first ignites it, glows pure white, a rare color that signifies her unique alignment with the Force. While still untrained, her raw potential marks her as a figure of hope in a galaxy that has long forgotten the Jedi.
