Description
Lutz hails from a poor family in Ehrenfest's lower city, the youngest of four brothers. His carpenter father and textile worker mother struggled with food scarcity, and his older brothers often took his belongings, cultivating his resilience and practical outlook. After meeting the reincarnated Myne, he offered to carry her when tired, initiating their supportive dynamic. He collaborated with her to create parue cakes from surplus pulp, confronting his brothers for fair distribution. This cemented their partnership, with Lutz pledging to help achieve Myne's dreams.

His aspiration to become a traveling merchant prompted Myne to arrange a meeting with Otto, a former merchant. Dissuaded from traveling due to risks, Lutz compromised by pursuing city merchantry under Benno's mentorship at the Gilberta Company—conditional on creating a functional paper prototype with Myne.

Lutz grew suspicious of Myne's uncharacteristic knowledge. After completing the prototype, he confronted her, learning of her reincarnation. Initially fearing she harmed the original Myne, he accepted her circumstances upon understanding them, vowing to keep her secret and remain loyal. As a merchant apprentice, he diligently overcame illiteracy, mastering reading, writing, math, and etiquette. Benno noted his honesty and diligence, considering him a potential successor.

Family conflict erupted when Benno planned to take Lutz to another city for a paper workshop. His family objected, leading Lutz to run away. Mediation involving Myne and Ferdinand resolved misunderstandings, resulting in Lutz signing a formal leherl contract with Gilberta Company. He later joined Benno's Plantin Company, where his first assignment involved traveling to Illgner to teach paper-making and research new paper types.

Subsequently, Lutz accompanied a group to Groschel to establish paper-making and printing workshops. He and Gil compiled local stories into a book for Rozemyne, delighting her. When Rozemyne relocated to another duchy, Lutz moved with Plantin Company to Alexandria. He celebrated his coming-of-age there with Benno and Mark as temporary guardians due to absent family. His engagement to Tuuli was revealed during this period, surprising Rozemyne. Lutz struggled to process potentially becoming Ferdinand's brother-in-law.

Personality-wise, Lutz exhibits patience and calmness, refined as the youngest brother. He balances Myne's ambitious ideas with practical planning and remains unflappable toward her unconventional behavior. His loyalty manifests in upholding promises and emotionally supporting her, such as comforting her during distress or managing her health. Tenacity defines his pursuit of goals, including defying family expectations for his career. Skills include business acumen from Benno's mentorship, literacy and numeracy matching merchant-born peers, etiquette proficiency, carpentry aptitude from his family, and expertise in paper production and book sales—earning him Myne's moniker "Gutenberg of selling books."
