Description
Celty Sturluson, a Dullahan from Irish lore tasked with ferrying souls to the afterlife, had her existence upended upon awakening to find her head missing. With only fractured memories and a faint link to her stolen skull, she fled to Japan, stowing away aboard a ship before settling in Ikebukuro to pursue answers.

Initially headless and wary of human contact, she gradually forged a distinct personality through exposure to society, blending pragmatic optimism with mundane hobbies like gaming, movies, and online chats. Despite her confidence, lingering insecurities about her headless form colored her interactions.

Headless, she perceives the world through shadowy tendrils serving as sensory organs. These shadows craft her clothing, conjure near-indestructible armor and weapons like her scythe, and animate Shooter—a shapeshifting Cóiste Bodhar familiar shifting between motorcycle, headless steed, and other vehicles.

Her bond with Shinra Kishitani, a human she met in Japan, deepened from caretaker to lover. Shinra’s father, Shingen, performed a clandestine autopsy on her, sealing their secrecy pact through pain. Though Shinra openly adored her, Celty’s affection emerged slowly, often clashing humorously with his tendency to mock her quest—a habit met with her fist.

As an underground courier, she navigated Ikebukuro’s criminal undercurrents, earning renown as the "Headless Rider." Aligning with the anonymous Dollars gang and later Snake Hands, she rescued Rio Kamichika and Ruri Hijiribe, clashed with the Toramaru gang, and thwarted schemes by Izaya Orihara—who secretly hoarded her head.

The search for her skull revealed its power to ensnare minds, as seen with Seiji Yagiri and Izaya. Memories within the head remained partly inaccessible to her body, fracturing her self-perception. Over time, she questioned if reclaiming it would heal her existential doubts, culminating in fleeting peace as she embraced her headless existence.

Her journey wove myth into modernity, charting her integration into humanity while balancing supernatural duties. Through themes of identity and belonging, she emerged as a steadfast anchor within Ikebukuro’s chaos, her tale a dance between ancient legend and contemporary strife.
