Description
Keima Katsuragi is a 17-year-old student known online as the "God of Conquest" for his unmatched expertise in completing dating simulation games. In daily life, his silent, cold demeanor and obsession with gaming earn him the nickname "Otamegane." He has brown hair and eyes, wears glasses, sports unruly bed hair, and is rarely seen without his handheld PFP gaming device. His typical outfits include his seasonal school uniform or a long-sleeved shirt with a white collar and pants. A black guillotine collar—purple in the anime—marks his contract with Hell.

He shows no interest in real life, dismissing real girls as inferior "3D girls" compared to their 2D counterparts. He remains detached during interactions, ignoring others unless they interrupt his gaming. His primary drive is to conquer games with intense analytical focus.

His family consists of his mother Mari, father Keiichi, grandfather Denma, and Elucia de Lute Ima—Elsie—who first pretended to be his illegitimate half-sister before becoming his actual sister. He attends Maijima Private High School, Class 2-B.

Despite his gaming habits, he excels academically, applying his analytical skills to predict exam questions based on teacher behavior. His multi-tasking is exceptional, often playing multiple games at once with full emotional engagement. He learns quickly, mastering new games and even modifying his PFP for enhanced performance.

His core skill lies in "capturing" girls, using deep knowledge of galge tropes to identify and resolve their emotional issues. He is a skilled actor, adopting tailored personas to appeal to targets. His weaknesses include ordinary girls without clear traits, illogical daydreamers, aggressive pursuers, and uncooperative heroines who defy his plans.

Physically average to unfit due to inactivity, he nonetheless displays high endurance, surviving electrocution, kicks, and punches. He can perform in sports when necessary for a conquest.

His involvement with spirit capturing begins after he accepts an online challenge, unknowingly contracting with the demon Elsie. He must help her capture runaway spirits hiding in the "gaps" in girls' hearts by making them fall in love with him, expelling the spirits. Failure means beheading by the contract collar.

His mission evolves when the goddess Diana tasks him with finding her five sisters, the Jupiter Sisters, dormant within previous conquests. The mission turns urgent after his classmate Kanon Nakagawa, host to Apollo, is critically wounded by Vintage's enchanted dagger. He blames himself and shifts from detachment to deep devotion, coordinating urgently to locate the other goddess hosts to save her life.

This leads into the Goddess Arc, where he must reconquer past targets—Kanon (Apollo), Tsukiyo (Vulcan), Shiori (Minerva), Yui (Mars), and Ayumi (Mercurius)—to awaken their goddesses. The girls start recalling hazy memories of their original conquests and feelings for him, complicating his efforts as they act unpredictably, advised by their resident goddesses.

A turning point comes during his reconquest of Chihiro Kosaka. Unsure if she or Ayumi hosts Mercurius, he pursues her only to learn she had genuinely fallen for him before his initial interference. Confirming she lacks a goddess, he coldly rejects her, claiming he only toyed with her for a game. The act causes them both pain, and he later grieves and apologizes, showing growing awareness of his actions' real impact and a capacity for remorse.

Gradually, his perspective shifts. He accepts that "there is no difference between the real and the virtual" and seeks the "best ending" in real scenarios, though he still upholds the superiority of 2D girls. His journey culminates in admitting his true feelings to Chihiro, acknowledging his own emotional growth.

In the final arc, he and Elsie travel to the past, where he discovers she is a powerful monster hunted by Vintage. After securing a stable timeline and accepting this truth, his contract collar is removed. He returns to ordinary life, with Elsie choosing to remain as his real sister.
