Akane Kurokawa is a talented young actress and a high school student affiliated with the renowned theater troupe Lala Lai. Standing at 163 centimeters tall, she has a slender, elegant figure with distinctive blue and navy two-toned hair and clear, greenish-blue eyes. She first gains public attention as a contestant on the reality dating show "We're About to Fall in Love for Real," where her reserved, introverted nature and heavy reliance on scripts make it difficult for her to stand out. After she accidentally injures a co-star during filming, a wave of malicious cyberbullying drives her into severe depression, culminating in a suicide attempt during a typhoon from which she is rescued by Aquamarine Hoshino. Initially shy, self-doubting, and prone to overthinking, Akane possesses a remarkably mature, empathetic, and highly intelligent core. Following her rescue, she resolves to change, growing more assertive and confident while retaining her kindness and loyalty. A dedicated method actor, she has honed her skills in psychological profiling and exhaustive research since childhood, allowing her to fully immerse herself in any character. Her talent is so profound that she can manifest star-shaped pupils while acting, a trait associated with rare charisma. She uses these abilities to deliver a flawless impersonation of the late idol Ai Hoshino, which shocks Aqua and becomes a turning point in her life. Her deep gratitude toward Aqua evolves into a romantic partnership, initially a public arrangement she knows is manipulative but accepts out of genuine affection. As she learns the truth about Aqua’s past, his connection to Ai, and his quest for revenge against his biological father Hikaru Kamiki, she becomes one of his most trusted allies, using her investigative acumen to uncover secrets and even offering to help carry out his vengeance to free him from his obsession. Her relationship with Kana Arima is complex: Kana was her childhood inspiration for becoming an actress, but this admiration curdles into a fierce professional rivalry as adults, contrasting Akane’s researched precision with Kana’s instinctive talent. Over the course of the story, Akane transforms from an insecure victim of cyberbullying into a confident, leading performer in films and stage productions such as Tokyo Blade, navigating industry pressures with compassion, resilience, and a willingness to confront uncomfortable truths.
