Nico Yazawa is a third-year student at Otonokizaka High School with a small, childlike stature. She is one of the nine main members of the school idol group μ's and also belongs to its sub-unit BiBi. Her image color is pink. As the founder and president of the Idol Research Club, she is deeply dedicated to school idols and often refers to herself as a true idol otaku. She has a notable rivalry with former student council president Eli Ayase, whose beauty and maturity she envies; this relationship eventually grows into mutual respect. She also forms close bonds with fellow members such as Maki Nishikino, Rin Hoshizora, and Hanayo Koizumi. Over the course of the series, Nico develops from a self-absorbed individual into a more caring and team-oriented person, culminating in her graduation and continued involvement with μ's. She possesses strong singing and performance skills essential for an idol. Additionally, she is a surprisingly skilled cook, a talent she initially hides, and she has a keen interest in fashion, often acting as the group’s wardrobe supervisor. Her background includes being the eldest of four siblings, which explains her proficiency in cooking and housekeeping.
