Description
Fie, also known as the Flame Sniper, is a character from the Edens Zero universe who serves as a supporting antagonist, primarily during the Belial Gore arc. He is a member of the Element 4, an elite special forces team that operates directly under the criminal lord Drakken Joe. As his title suggests, Fie is the fire user of this group, controlling the element of flame through his unique powers. His designation within the Element 4 establishes him as a high-tier threat and a direct subordinate to one of the Sakura Cosmos's most dangerous crime bosses.

In appearance, Fie is a young man of average height, distinguished by his spiky, vibrant orange hair and matching orange eyes. He wears an eyepatch over his right eye, giving him a distinctive and ominous look, and his attire typically includes dark, baggy trousers decorated with flame prints, suspenders, and a tribal necklace. This design reflects his fiery and aggressive nature.

Personality wise, Fie is depicted as a deeply sadistic individual who derives genuine pleasure from causing pain and suffering. He takes particular delight in shooting down targets from extreme distances, displaying a chilling arrogance in his abilities. He is highly confident, even boastful, about his skills as a marksman, famously claiming that he never misses his mark. This confidence borders on a bloodthirsty obsession, as he often prioritizes killing or maiming his targets over following orders to capture them alive. His sadism is most notably displayed when he cuts off Weisz Steiners arm and then laughs at the resulting agony, expressing disappointment that his victim did not scream louder. This behavior, including killing individuals who were hiding his targets, solidifies his role as a brutal antagonist who lacks empathy or loyalty beyond his own violent impulses.

Fies role in the story is that of a direct physical threat to the Crew of Edens. He is first introduced in the aftermath of Weisz Steiners battle with another Element 4 member, Laguna Husert, where he cowardly shoots Weisz in the back from a tremendous distance. He subsequently captures Weisz and brings him before Drakken Joe. Throughout the Belial Gore arc, he serves as a recurring obstacle, engaging the crew in combat and carrying out Drakken Joes cruel orders with excessive enthusiasm. In an alternate timeline, known as Universe 2 or timeline 30, he and the other Element 4 members confront the Four Shining Stars of the Edens Zero, where he specifically battles the android Hermit Mio.

His key relationships are primarily defined by his allegiance to Drakken Joe, whom he serves without question, and his professional association with the other members of Element 4, including Laguna. His most significant antagonistic relationship is with Weisz Steiner, whom he torments and permanently injures, and later with Hermit, who ultimately becomes his defeater.

Fie undergoes limited development in terms of moral growth or redemption, remaining a villainous figure throughout his appearances. His primary narrative development is his progression from an overwhelming, untouchable sniper to a defeated combatant. He initially seems invincible, picking off targets from seven kilometers away and outmaneuvering the crew. However, his defeat at the hands of Hermit demonstrates his fatal overconfidence. Hermit outsmarts him by predicting his movements and countering his long-range tactics, showcasing that Fie is less effective when his sniping advantages are neutralized by superior strategy. Following Drakken Joes arrest, Fies ultimate fate is left unknown, as his whereabouts are not disclosed, leaving his story open-ended.

In terms of notable abilities, Fie is an exceptionally skilled sniper, capable of accurately hitting targets from distances as far as seven kilometers, making him a nearly invisible threat. He wields a high-powered sniper rifle as his primary tool for these attacks. His true power, however, comes from his Ether Gear, known as Flame Ammo. This ability allows him to generate, control, and transform into fire. He can use this power to fire incendiary projectiles, effectively turning his sniper rounds into explosive flaming shots. More uniquely, he can convert his own body into flames, allowing him to travel through small spaces like pipes and ventilation systems, granting him incredible mobility and the element of surprise. This combination of superhuman marksmanship and fire-based Ether Gear makes him a versatile and deadly opponent.
