Description
Piringo is a minor but significant figure in Sukiyaki Western Django, presented as a mythic gunslinger rather than an ordinary supporting character. He is a homeless wanderer dressed in a poncho, an outsider with a formidable reputation, and a man said to possess a deep awareness of the impermanence of worldly things in line with Eastern philosophy. He is described as having loved a woman likened to a sala flower, a symbol tied to the Buddhist idea of transience, and as one who guns down the proud. His name has been read as an amalgam of the Pinkerton detective Charlie Siringo and the outlaw Johnny Ringo, with a possible additional nod to the Ringo western film series.

He is seen with her again later, striking her because the sukiyaki she made was too sweet.
