Loris Loddi is an Italian actor and voice actor with a career spanning several decades, beginning in the early 1960s. Born in Rome on December 3, 1957, he started his professional life as a child actor, appearing in notable films such as the 1963 Hollywood epic Cleopatra, where he was personally selected by Elizabeth Taylor to play Caesarion. His early career also included work in theater under directors like Luchino Visconti. He began his voice acting career in 1965 and gained early recognition for providing the Italian voice of Mowgli in the 1967 Italian-language edition of Walt Disney's The Jungle Book, a role for which he was personally chosen by Disney.

Within the realm of anime and animation, Loddi has built an extensive and varied portfolio, lending his voice to a wide array of characters in Italian dubs. In the mecha genre, he is known for voicing Hayato Jin, taking over the role for the latter part of the original Getter Robo series and continuing as the character's second voice in its sequel, Getter Robo G. He also voiced the protagonist Isamu in the 1970 fantasy adventure film 30,000 Miles Under the Sea.

Loddi's work also encompasses classic animated films and series. He was the Italian voice of the titular young protagonist in the 1970 film Chibikko Remi to Meiken Kapi, an adaptation of the novel Sans Famille. He also voiced the character Hols in the 1968 film Horus: Prince of the Sun. In a 2014 redub of the 1982 film Arcadia of My Youth, he provided the voice for the character Phantom F. Harlock II.

His repertoire includes a range of other significant roles in anime series and films. He voiced Alpha Q in the television series Transformers: Energon. He is also the Italian voice of Jin in Samurai Champloo, Death Scythe in Soul Eater, Allen Schezar in Escaflowne: The Movie, and Benny in Black Lagoon. In the 2016 CGI film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, he voiced the antagonist Ardyn Izunia. His work has also included voicing major characters like Freezer in the Dragon Ball Z film Resurrection 'F'.

In addition to his anime roles, Loddi is a prominent voice actor for live-action material, serving as the Italian voice for numerous international actors including Brad Pitt, Val Kilmer, Quentin Tarantino, Vincent D'Onofrio, and Michael Sheen. His career as a voice actor and on-screen performer continues, with credits including appearances in films such as Ridley Scott's House of Gucci and the 2024 film Conclave.
