OVA
Description
Aoi Hinata is a main character from the anime and is also known by the nickname Himawari. She is a sixteen-year-old high school student and the childhood friend of the protagonist, Amatsuyu Kisaragi. Her nickname, Himawari, is derived from an anagram of the kanji in her full name, which rearranges to form the Japanese word for sunflower. Her birthday is June 30th, and her blood type is B.

Physically, she is a small girl with a youthful appearance, standing at 155cm tall. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Despite her small stature, she is a formidable athlete and serves as the ace of the school's tennis club. In contrast to her athletic prowess, her academic abilities are quite poor, and she struggles with her school subjects.

Personality-wise, Himawari is characterized by her bright, energetic, and cheerful demeanor. She is an extrovert who is highly popular among her classmates due to her friendly and sincere nature. However, she is also impulsive, often acting without thinking and speaking her mind regardless of the situation. She has a well-known inability to keep secrets, which frequently leads to chaotic or humorous outcomes. Her energy is displayed in her daily routine, where she often greets Amatsuyu with intense physical contact, such as tackling him or slapping him hard on the back.

Within the story, Aoi acts as a catalyst for the initial plot. She confesses to Amatsuyu that she is not in love with him, but rather with his best friend, Taiyo Ooga, whom she calls Sun-chan. Her primary motivation at the start is to secure Amatsuyu's help to get closer to and eventually date Taiyo. Despite her friendly claims, she often unconsciously relies on and uses Amatsuyu as a convenient tool to solve her problems or achieve her romantic goals. She comes to believe she has been betrayed by Amatsuyu due to Taiyo's manipulations, but eventually learns the truth and reconciles with her childhood friend. Over time, her feelings shift, and she begins to develop romantic interest in Amatsuyu, though she later states that she currently has no one she likes.

The most significant relationship in her life is with Amatsuyu Kisaragi. As his childhood friend and classmate, he is the person she most frequently interacts with and depends on, even as she inadvertently takes advantage of his help. Her other key relationship is with Taiyo Ooga, the object of her initial affections, whom she admires for his resilience as a baseball player.

Her notable ability is her exceptional talent in sports, specifically tennis, where she is the top player on her school's team. This physical skill is contrasted with her lack of academic ability, which is so pronounced that she admits to being bad at all subjects.
