Description
Ranzo Kiyama is a Brazilian Blader of Japanese descent competing initially in the South American league. Learning of Phantom's Gate and the Dark Prince prompts his journey to Japan. He is the cousin of Rantaro and Ranjiro Kiyama and shares their habit of sucking on lollipops, his featuring a blue and yellow design. Physically tall with tanned skin, orange eyes, and distinctive upwardly spiraled blonde hair, he wears a bandage strip on his nose and one on each cheek. His attire consists of an orange T-shirt with a white "R" outlined in red, a green bandana, orange sunglasses perched on his forehead, a red sleeveless jacket, light-blue shorts with black triangular sections, and red-and-yellow high-top shoes.

Ranzo radiates high energy, enthusiasm, and friendliness, especially during Beyblade battles, though his intensely energetic communication style can be perceived as overly intense or annoying. He displays exaggerated reactions to wins or losses, like spinning Bashara Suiro in victory celebration. Deeply valuing his friendships, particularly with Bashara and Bel Daizora, he actively searched for a missing Bashara, empathized with his emotional pleas, and consistently chose him as a practice partner. He also supported Bel after Destruction Belfyre's destruction, aiding its revival and remaining a loyal companion. Ranzo bites his lollipop when intensely focused, notably during Bel's creation of the V Gear.

His Beyblade journey starts with Glide Roktavor Wheel Revolve 1S, a Lightning-type Bey. Inspired by Bel Daizora's battle against Lui Shirosagi, Ranzo challenges Bel, leading to Glide Roktavor's accidental destruction by Destruction Belfyre's Destruction Wrecker. Bel helps rebuild it into Cyclone Roktavor Giga Never-6, a QuadDrive Bey that becomes Ranzo's primary weapon through QuadDrive and QuadStrike. Cyclone Roktavor utilizes the stamina-based special move Double Winged Cyclone, generating a defensive cyclone, and its enhanced variant Double Winged Cyclone Grande. Ranzo masters the Lightning Launch technique, synchronizing with his Bey for temporary speed and power boosts.

In Beyblade Burst QuadDrive, Ranzo faces initial losses to Bel, Bashara, and Free De La Hoya, who defeats him using Vanish Fafnir's rubber blades for a Slow Motion Burst Finish. He achieves occasional victories, including against Bel in episode 4 and Bashara in episode 4, but consistently loses to elite Bladers like Valt Aoi and Rashad Goodman. His role expands in Beyblade Burst QuadStrike as the tritagonist, where he secures wins against unknown Bladers and Bel in episode 2, and teams with Valt Aoi against Hikaru and Hyuga Hizashi for a 2-0 victory. He suffers repeated defeats against top competitors such as Aiger Akabane, Pri Forsythe, and Kit Lopez.

Key relationships include his mentorship-like bond with Bel, formed after Bel rebuilt his Bey, and his close camaraderie with Bashara. He frequently peppers his speech with the Portuguese-derived catchphrase "Amiigo" when addressing friends. As the first Brazilian character in the Burst series, Ranzo incorporates Portuguese language into his dialogue, highlighting his cultural background.
