Description
Naomi Misora is a former FBI agent who appears as a supporting character in the film L change the WorLd, which is part of the Death Note franchise. Her background is rooted in her previous work as a highly skilled investigator. Before the events of the film, she had already cooperated with the detective L on the Los Angeles BB serial murder case, successfully capturing the perpetrator and earning L’s trust. In L change the WorLd, Naomi is shown working with her fiancé Raye Iwamatsu on a separate assignment for L in the United States. L monitors their progress through surveillance and remarks that he has great confidence in Naomi because of her past performance.

Naomi’s personality is marked by sharp intelligence, strong intuition, and a methodical approach to investigation. She is determined and independent, yet she also carries emotional depth due to the loss of her fiancé, who is killed by the serial killer known as Kira in the main Death Note storyline. This tragedy fuels her motivation to seek justice, though in the film her focus is on the assignment given by L. She remains professional and composed, demonstrating ability to handle dangerous situations.

Her role in L change the WorLd is that of a capable operative who aids L from a distance. Although she does not interact directly with L on-screen in the film, her past cooperation and ongoing mission highlight the network of agents L relies on. Key relationships include her engagement to Raye Iwamatsu and her professional bond with L, who values her skills and discretion.

In terms of development, Naomi’s character is consistent with her portrayal in earlier stories: a gifted agent whose resolve is tested by personal loss. Her notable abilities include exceptional investigative aptitude, grasp of criminal psychology, and physical competence such as proficiency in capoeira. She is also resourceful in the use of information and surveillance. Naomi Misora’s presence in L change the WorLd reinforces her reputation as one of L’s most trusted assets, even as she operates in the background of the main plot.
