Hotarubi is a fictional character from the 2005 live-action film Shinobi: Heart Under Blade, which is an adaptation of the novel The Kouga Ninja Scrolls. She is a kunoichi, a female ninja, of the Iga Tsubagakure clan. Petite and slender with straight, dark hair that falls just below her shoulders, Hotarubi embodies a traditional Japanese beauty. She typically wears a long, purple kimono and her eyes are a deep purple color.
