Benedetta Ponticelli is an Italian voice actress. She was born in Siena on December 22, 1979, and raised in Livorno. She pursued a degree in modern literature at the University of Pisa. Her professional voice acting career began after enrolling in a dubbing course in Milan. Her anime roles include Koharu Hidaka in Hi Score Girl and Hi Score Girl II, Kuon Shinzaki in High-Rise Invasion, and Rider in the Fate/stay night film trilogy including Heaven's Feel II. lost butterfly and Heaven's Feel III. spring song. Other anime roles include Kaede Akiyama in Kengan Ashura, Nagako Aoki in Mai Mai Miracle, Inori Yamabuki/Cure Pine in Fresh Pretty Cure and its film Fresh Precure! Omocha no Kuni wa Himitsu ga Ippai!?, Edward Thomas in Before Green Gables, Naruko "Anaru" Anjo in anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, Uta Yumeno in Onegai My Melody - Kuru Kuru Shuffle! and Onegai My Melody Sukkiri, Panda in Animal Yokocho, Ilse Burnley in Emily of New Moon, Larela in Space Symphony Maetel ~Ginga Tetsudō 999 Gaiden~, and Catherine in New Attacker You!. She voiced Jeff Bowen in Project ARMS and Z in Mirmo Zibang!. She is the primary Italian voice of Lara Croft in the video game reboot series starting from Tomb Raider in 2013. Other notable roles include Alphonse Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Fluttershy and Applejack in My Little Pony: L'amicizia è magica, Jimmy Neutron in Le avventure di Jimmy Neutron, and Misty in the second Italian dubbing of Pokémon. She voiced Carly Shay in the Italian version of the live-action series iCarly. In 2015, she was awarded the I Targa "Bruno Paolo Astori" for Best Emerging Voice Actress at the Festival "Voci nell'ombra".
