Description
Shiryū Chō'un holds the position of Special A-Rank fighter within Seito Academy's Five Tiger Generals. Her character embodies the legacy of Chinese general Zhao Yun, bearing the title "The Eternal Victorious" in homage to his near-flawless military record. This connection incorporates Zhao Yun's service under Liu Bei, his spear-wielding reputation as "Ferocious Dragon," and his death at age 72 in 229 AD after posthumously receiving the title Lord of Shunping.

Chō'un possesses long silver hair framing her face and covering her ears, typically keeping her eyes closed. Her attire includes a brown vest layered over a striped-collared white shirt, a dark brown skirt with red trim, knee-high black socks, and brown loafers. She stands 170 cm tall with measurements of 89-59-87 and blood type A. A tiger tattoo marks her left shoulder blade, while occasional depictions reveal cat-like pupils when her eyes open—subtly hinting at potential draconic forces.

In battle, she wields the Hyakuhekitou sword Youtou Muramasa "Zanryuu," executing techniques like "Shiden Issen." Despite effortlessly defeating high-ranking opponents such as Kakouen Myosai and Teni while defending Gentoku Ryuubi, she prioritizes conflict resolution without bloodshed. Her tactical precision is demonstrated during missions to retrieve the Dragon Jade from Shimei Ryomou under Koumei Shokatsuryou's orders and intercept Hakufu Sonsaku's rampaging dragon until its containment was assured.

Chō'un blends a laid-back demeanor with fierce loyalty to Seito Academy's leadership, particularly Gentoku Ryuubi and Koumei Shokatsuryou. She acts on directives without hesitation, emphasizing protection over aggression and openly vowing to sacrifice her life for Gentoku's safety. She acknowledges fellow general Unchou Kan-u as Seito's strongest fighter despite their comparable skill. Non-combat moments reveal emotional depth, such as disappointment when over-trimming a miniature tree while wearing a blue kimono, and blushing interactions with Gentoku implying deeper feelings.

Her background receives minimal exploration in supplementary media: a "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei" collaboration event included her without narrative development, manga extras in Volume 19 referenced her past in "The past of Chou'un Shiryu: Zanryu is forged!" without elaboration, and the 2022 "Shin Ikki Tousen" OVA series featured her without significant new arcs.
