Alongside his calm and composed cousin Jūkurō, who balances Kisara's impulsive nature with his own quiet, steady abilities, the two form a complementary pair as they battle the Yō no Mono lurking in everyday life. The story begins when Kisara, while attending a cram school, witnesses a teacher suddenly collapse in a strange trance, leaving behind only a handful of mysterious sand. Recognizing the sign of an Yō no Mono attack, Kisara and Jūkurō investigate, drawing them into a series of supernatural incidents that reach far beyond their school.
