Description
"Accel World" is a science fiction manga series set in a near-future Tokyo where virtual reality has become deeply integrated into daily life. The story centers on Haruyuki Arita, a bullied and overweight middle school student who finds solace in the virtual world through a program called the Neuro Linker. This device allows users to connect to a global network and experience augmented reality. Haruyuki’s life changes when he encounters Kuroyukihime, the popular and beautiful student council vice president, who introduces him to a mysterious program called Brain Burst.
Brain Burst is an advanced virtual reality fighting game that accelerates the user’s perception of time, allowing them to experience battles in a hyper-accelerated state. Only a select few, known as Burst Linkers, can access this program. Haruyuki discovers that Brain Burst grants him the ability to transform into a powerful avatar named Silver Crow, enabling him to fight in the Accelerated World. Kuroyukihime, whose avatar is Black Lotus, reveals her goal: to reach Level 10 in Brain Burst and uncover the secrets of the program. She recruits Haruyuki to join her quest, and together they navigate the challenges of the Accelerated World.
