Description
Socially awkward loner Kayato has an intense fear of being touched and struggles to make friends. During a high school field trip to Hakodate, time suddenly stops for the entire world. Everyone around him freezes mid-action, and the bustling city falls into an eerie, silent standstill. Kayato discovers he is not alone. Akira, a sharp-tongued local delinquent who is his complete opposite, has also remained conscious and mobile. Though she is reluctant at first, she agrees to help him investigate the phenomenon. The only clue they have is a cryptic remark Kayato’s late uncle made before he died, referring to a world plucked out of time, as if preserved in amber. Hoping to find answers among his uncle’s belongings in Tokyo, the two teens set out on a long journey across a frozen Japan.
