As a form of propaganda and consolation, Yuri was enlisted into the Zeon military, though he is publicly presented as a willing volunteer.

The narrative follows the Lepus unit and its mysterious ace. The left-handed Zaku is not merely a cosmetic oddity but a core part of the captain's fighting style. The story explores the harsh realities of the One Year War from a new angle, focusing on the motivations and traumas that drive individuals to fight.
