Description
An ordinary office worker named Akito finds his life upended when he is suddenly spirited away by a tofu boy yokai. He is taken to Kasumirou, a secretive and dazzlingly luxurious red-light district that exists in a parallel world and is exclusively for yokai. Disoriented within this supernatural pleasure quarter, Akito crosses paths with Suiren, a beautiful male prostitute with sun-kissed skin and long black hair who is revealed to be a tengu, a creature from Japanese folklore often depicted as a crow-like being.

The core of the story revolves around the relationship that develops between Akito, a weary human from the mundane working world, and Suiren, a jaded denizen of the yokai pleasure district. The narrative is driven by their transactional first meeting, as Suiren tells Akito, You paid for me, so touch me however you please, a line that sets the stage for a complex and pure love story that challenges the boundaries of their respective worlds. The primary conflict emerges from the vast divide between the human realm and the hidden society of yokai, as well as the emotional walls Suiren has built as a result of his profession.

The main characters include Akito, a human office worker whose ordinary life is disrupted by his forced entry into this supernatural realm. Suiren is the central figure, a tan, black-haired tengu whose beauty and profession as a male prostitute mask a deeper emotional vulnerability. The story also features other inhabitants of the Kasumirou, including the tofu boy yokai who initially abducts Akito.

The narrative unfolds across a single complete volume, originally serialized in seven chapters from October 2019 to August 2020. The primary arc follows Akito and Suiren as they navigate the rules of the yokai red-light district and the gradual transformation of their customer-client relationship into something more profound. Set against the backdrop of this visually extravagant and morally complex environment, the story explores themes of loneliness, emotional transaction versus genuine affection, and the possibility of finding love in a place designed for fleeting pleasure.
